Downtown Denver has the most highly educated downtown work force in the nation, due in part to the abundant colleges and universities located within or near Denver's CBD. With nearly 40,000 students and faculty, The Auraria Higher Education Center is the largest college campus in the nation located in a central business district. The University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State College and the Community College of Denver all share space and services on the 170-acre commuter campus.
